About Why Comics?
Bringing discussion on contemporary social and humanitarian issues into the classroom.
Why Comics? is a new innovative charity that provides free educational resources to help teachers bring discussion on, and understanding of, contemporary social and humanitarian issues into the classroom.
Why Comics? was launched at the end of 2016. Its interactive website, where students can explore vital global issues, can be accessed here.
Aimed at students (7-18 year olds) and their teachers, the materials Why Comics? creates can be used to support the teaching of various subjects, such as Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education, Citizenship and Geography.
Why Comics? encourages and promotes critical and reflective thinking on vital global themes, whilst encouraging learners to make connections between their own lives and the lives of others throughout the world.
