Debasmita is an artist and arts-for-change advocate. She created ArtsPositive, which combines her passion for illustrations and her decade-long experience as a communications specialist working across Asia and Europe. Besides incubating ideas and managing ArtsPositive’s projects, she is an internationally published picture book illustrator and graphic novel artist. Her work has been showcased in Italy, Singapore, Thailand and Denmark. She has been awarded as one of the 50 creative fellows by the National Arts Strategies (USA) in 2015 and an arts fellow under Royal Society of Arts (UK) in 2016. She is passionate about cinema and has been an art director, producer and co-director of some award-winning short films and documentaries.
