Prof Heaven Crawley

Heaven is a migration researcher, writer and policy analyst who has worked in academia, for international organisations and NGOs, with refugee and migrant-led groups and in the UN. Most recently, she has been leading the Migration for Development and Equality (MIDEQ) Hub, one of the world’s largest migration research projects which focuses on migration between the countries of the Global South. Heaven’s work has brought her into contact with thousands of migrants and refugees around the globe… people who have chosen to leave their own countries to live elsewhere, people who haven’t, and others in between. She is a migrant herself having left the UK following the Brexit vote in 2016 to live in Italy. You can find out more about her work at heavencrawley.com
