Tayo is a widely published and award winning cartoonist, storyteller, comic artist and illustrator with over four decades of producing comics, illustrations, caricatures, and socio-political commentaries in publications across the globe. He was the first international student from Africa admitted to the The Kubert School, New Jersey. He has held exhibitions and cartoon workshops in the U.K, Nigeria, Côte D’Ivoire, Finland, France, Ethiopia, the U.S., Egypt, Ireland, Israel, Belgium, South Korea, Algeria and Italy. He has produced cartoons, illustrations, and magazine covers for several clients, including the award-winning digital comic for the BBC World Service titled Hooked, the illustrated students’ worksheet on African Kingdoms for the British Museum, the commissioned Lagos state illustrated comic – Spirit of Lagos and the Illustrated cities focusing on Lagos for the Guardian UK. His Fela Kuti image he created is featured in Burna Boy’s 2018 YouTube featured mega-Afrobeat hit song “Ye”.
