Afghanistan – Drugs & (dis)order
We are working in close collaboration with the Drugs & (dis)order project, the Afghan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU) and the Organisation for Sustainable Development and Research (OSDR) to shed light on the lived experiences of people in Afghanistan’s borderlands through visual art and participatory research.
Hear from our partner, Orzala Nemat (Director of AREU), about the urgency of building new evidence bases on drug economies in Afghanistan:
- Local comics: Jangul’s story is being translated into Dari and Pashto.
- More stories: We’re working on more co-created arts-based research stories; as the project progresses we will be releasing them over the next year and a half.
- Learning resources: PosNeg Learning are currently working on educational resources and learning packages to accompany Jangul’s story to take this story and its themes into classrooms around the world. If you’re a teacher and interested in collaborating on this, please reach out to [email protected].
